Companions

She showed up out my back door about a week and a half ago. She was the thinnest animal I’ve ever seen: starving to death, and staggering when she walked. But even that first day, she had spent energy on tracking down a mouse that now lay dead before her. It was an offering…a contract: if you feed me, I will help you too! Now I have a companion at Harmony Farm, and it has been a week since a single mouse has been seen in the house.

Her name is mIisis, and she is sweet, unless you happen to be a mouse!
